Course Objective:
The aim of this training product is to provide theory and practical training in the following areas:
- The planning and preparation necessary to the perform work associated with CPR.
- The assessment of all health and safety issues associated with CPR;
- Understanding all relevant obligations, requirements and responsibilities as well as concepts of a duty of care associated with CPR;
- Identify procedures associated with responding to emergencies.
- Understand the relevance of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
- Identify and understand management of all life threatening conditions.
- Perform CPR procedures associated with cardio-pulmonary resuscitation;
Course Prerequisite:
Participants are advised to hold intermediate numeracy, literacy and communication skills to read and comprehend written instructions and must be at least 14 years of age.
Course Content: 4 Hours
Participants must achieve competency across all performance criteria as detailed in each unit to gain attainment for CPR01 Cardio- pulmonary Resuscitation:
- Unit Code; CPR01 attached to Unit Title; Apply Cardio-pulmonaryResuscitation (4 hours)
Assessment:
Participants will be required to complete a written and practical examination to be deemed competent.
