Course Objective:
The aim of this training product is to provide the skills and knowledge to operate an array of cranes the first module was designed to introduce participants to the principles of cranes and how they operate. Thereafter, the participants selects the elective that they require practical training in, it is recommended on the completion of the electives they gain further experience before, attempting other electives. The training program provides theory and practical training in the following areas:
Course Prerequisite:
Participants are advised to hold intermediate numeracy, literacy and communication skills to read and comprehend written instructions. The participant needs to a have had previous experience on a building site and must have a current certificate in Dogging.
Course Content: Nominal Hours - 304.
This course consists of 6 units (one core unit and five electives) and participants must achieve competency across all performance criteria as detailed in each unit.
In partial completion of the course, 30275QLD Course in Crane Operations (Building and Construction), the participant can exit after successfully completing any of the units - OCBC01, MOB01, TOW02, GAN03, SEL04, END05 and be issued a Statement of Attainment for the particular unit or units completed.
Assessment:
Participants will be required to complete a written and practical examination to be deemed competent.
