New Asbestos "B Class" Licence
As of Thursday, 18 May 2006, CSTC will be conducting regular pre-exam training and/or conducting examinations for the new Asbestos “B Class” licence.
The license is a new requirement under Queensland legislation for workers removing greater than 10 metres square of bonded asbestos sheeting.
For more information a government fact sheet may be found by clicking here.
The exam is 30 multiple choice questions based on the NOHSC Code of Practice on the Safe Removal of Asbestos. To be deemed competent, participants must answer at least 27 of these questions without error.
If participants feel, that because of pre-existing knowledge, they do not need pre-exam training, the exam will be offered independently of a pre-exam training program.
If you would like to make a booking for the pre-exam training, or just take the exam, or you would like any further details on this new license class, please contact your nearest CSTC office by clicking here.
