Prescribed Occupations

As of the 1st of July 2007 there have been some major changes with regards to the delivery of Prescribed Occupational Training and Assessment.

The following Courses offered by CSTC Pty Ltd have been affected by these major changes:

30497QLD Course in Operating Crane, Rigging and Scaffolding Equipment

  • Dogging
  • Basic Rigging
  • Intermediate Rigging
  • Advanced Rigging
  • Basic Scaffolding
  • Intermediate Scaffolding
  • Advanced Scaffolding
  • Tower Crane
  • Vehicle Loading Crane
  • Bridge or Gantry Crane
  • Non-slewing Mobile Crane (greater than 3 tonne capacity)
  • Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 20 tonnes)
  • Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 60 tonnes)
  • Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 100 tonnes)
  • Slewing Mobile Crane (open/over 100 tonnes)
  • Boom-type Elevated Working Platform
  • Concrete Placing Boom
  • Materials Hoist (Cantilever Platform)
  • Hoists (Materials or Personnel)

30496QLD Course in Operating Loadshifting Equipment

  • Front End Loader/Backhoe
  • Front End Loader
  • Front End Loader (Skid Steer Type)
  • Excavator
  • Dragline
  • Fork Lift Truck
  • Order-picking Forklift Truck
  • Dozer (Wheeled and Tracked)
  • Bridge and Gantry Crane (remote operation only)
  • Vehicle Loading Crane (less than 10 metre tonne capacity)
  • Non-slewing, Non-articulating Mobile Crane (not exceeding 3 tonne capacity)
  • Roller
  • Scraper
  • Grader

These changes mean that to obtain a licence to work in prescribed occupations workers must complete:

  • A Training Course
  • On the job practical training, recorded in a log book and signed off by a competent person.
  • Assessment to be booked after the completion of the log book hours.

The trainee will be issued with a log book at the end of the training course and will be given instructions on how to complete it correctly by the instructor. The trainee will need to have completed the minimum number of required logged hours before they can book in for an assessment.
